Medical Study
In 2005 an 8-day Samarpan Dhyanyog Shibir was conducted at Rajkot where the International Red Cross Society had set up their medical research camp. Here participants were checked for blood sugar and blood pressure on the first and last day of the camp. It was observed that 84% of the participants with abnormal blood sugar and blood pressure on the first day became normal after attending the 8-day camp.
This study has encouraged us to study the effect of meditation on cognitive mental balance, stress related ailments and general health. To this end, the Samarpan organisation plans to undertake planned scientific research in the near future and also plans to have such research papers published in medical journals for peer review.
